Dr Laura Gregg-Rowbury
Clinical Psychologist; HCPC & BPS
I am a HCPC-registered and BPS-chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 14 years of experience supporting people with a wide range of psychological difficulties. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, helping clients feel safe and understood as they explore their challenges and move towards positive, lasting change.
I believe therapy offers a space for reflection, understanding, and growth. I aim to help individuals make sense of their experiences, recognise unhelpful patterns, and develop the tools needed to live with greater balance, confidence, and self-compassion.

Areas of Expertise
Throughout my career, I have worked with adults experiencing a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
Anxiety, depression, and stress
Neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and autism
Relationship and interpersonal challenges
Individuals seeking greater self-understanding and personal growth
I have extensive experience working in both acute and crisis mental health services, supporting people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. In addition to my clinical work, I have provided consultation, supervision, and training to multidisciplinary teams, promoting psychologically informed care across services.
Therapeutic Approaches
My approach to therapy is integrative and evidence-based, drawing primarily from:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – Helping clients identify and change unhelpful thought and behaviour patterns.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) – Supporting recovery from trauma and distressing life events.
I also draw on ideas from Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting individuals to develop self-compassion, manage difficult emotions, and live in alignment with their values.
I believe in working collaboratively and flexibly, tailoring therapy to each person’s needs and goals. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and make meaningful change.
Professional Background & Qualifications
I began my career in adolescent mental health services and research before qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist in 2011. Since then, I have worked across NHS inpatient, crisis, and liaison services, providing psychological support to individuals with complex and acute presentations.
After over a decade working in the NHS, I now offer therapy in private practice, where I continue to support clients in understanding themselves and developing new ways of coping and thriving.
